Email Help: Problems Attaching Files

What good is an email provider when you need email help constantly? With the many providers and great features offered, what do you look for primarily? Ability to send and receive emails? Storage space? Tim primarily looks for our tech guy every time he needs email help. I can’t help but feel sorry for him. Email help, Microsoft problems, technical glitches, Outlook troubles; you name it and the tech guy’s there. I can imagine how we make life so difficult for him.

If I were a tech guy, I’d lose it; first day on the job. The amount of patience you need is incredible. I wonder what life would be without tech guys and system admins.  Well at least Tim’s getting solid tech advice right now.

I sure could use some too, so I go over to see what’s  nipping Tim. Looks like he’s having trouble with his attachments. The tech guy looks at me and rolls his eyes. I agree. I mean email help when you can’t attach your files? C’mon your tech guy’s got better things to do. “Ok, you know what Tim?” “I’m going to ask our buddy here to give us some email help tips” I looked around. “Me?” I asked. There wasn’t anybody else.

“Tim, Email help is something you and I don’t know” I said, glaring at the tech guy. “But fortunately there’s Google to help you out, coz these guys think they know a lot of tech-trash to throw at us” We laughed. In no time we got Tim’s attachment sent.

Well here are some really simple tips when you’re desperately looking for email help with your attachments.

Problem with attachment size limitations

There’s generally a size limit imposed on attachments for webmail and Internet Service Provider (ISP) email accounts. Exceeding this limit causes attachment errors. Although paid email providers offer a larger attachment capacity, they still have restrictions on attachments. A simple email help tip – try breaking up larger files into smaller sizes, that’s accepted by your provider or compressing your attachments into zip or rar archives.

File already in use

Another practical email help tip – Check whether the file you’ve attached is open or currently in use. If so, close the program, end its associated processes and try attaching it again. How simpler can email help get?
